Open for just over a month, this new Dallas attraction has drummed up a lot of attention and rightfully so! With 5 floors, 11 permanent exhibit halls, inspiring programs, revolutionary simulations and exciting hands on activities, there is something for all ages and interests.
If you have little ones there is certainly a lot to be gained from a visit to the Perot. The museum is designed to “inspire our children to be the scientific leaders of tomorrow”. It introduces them to “a world of ideas and concepts in science, math and technology…By offering hand-on ways to learn about scientific evidence, mathematical concepts and natural history, the Museum will profoundly affect what and how our kids experience science and nature”. Not only is a great field trip for students but it can be a perfect family outing.
Although the museum is very child friendly, it certain appeals to an older crowd as well with programs for teens and adults. “The Museum reminds us that the universe is grander than ourselves, older than we can fathom, and that the world actually revolves around the sun, and not us. It inspires our community through exhibits, marvels and presentations. It exhilarates and entertains visitors of all ages…because after all, it’s never too late to learn” (http://www.perotmuseum.org/).
